Where and how did the idea come from?
As I sat at home waiting for an email from one of the companies I had applied to, I heard the notification sound indicating that the long-awaited message had arrived. Excitedly, I opened the email and learned that I needed to create a proto persona as part of a desired case study. Intrigued, I eagerly awaited the next steps of this unfolding story! 👇

I listened to the stories of others
In the third frame, I understood exactly what I needed. But I also wanted some answers from my other designer friends. "How does a proto persona creation kit that assists you to create personas quickly sounds like?' Instead of saying ''I decided to listen to their experiences and stories on the subject.'' And I prepared a set of questions to ask.
Me: ''Have you used proto persona while doing a case study for a company lately? How did it go?''
Designer 1: '' ...Yes, I tried. One of the most challenging parts was identifying the user's pain points and defining the persona. I would love to have a catalog in front of me while doing this work. For this reason, I created a dummy persona and added it to the study without doing much research.''
Me: "What kept you from making a real proto persona?''
Designer 1: ''Deadline. I had to hand over the job in a short time. Since I could not create it in a practical way, I gave my weight to the interface design. I didn't have much time to deal with it.''

What is proto persona creation kit?
Proto Persona Creation Kit is a user-friendly system to create a proto persona quickly. Generally, after intensive research, we need a persona card quickly. So I wanted to build a system where you can create your own proto persona for exactly this need.
How it works?
I created a design system by writing variants for each element that makes up the Persona card, such as avatar, tagline, age, occupation, marital status, biography, pain points, and motivations. In this way, as a result of the design system I designed, the user can quickly prepare the proto persona card to use in his own project by selecting the appropriate variants for the persona he will create.
Ready to use cards
Also I created 10 ready to use proto persona cards. But the users can create their own cards as well!
The results
It achieved a high download rate shortly after publishing the project as open source on the Figma Community! The good news is that people have benefited from the project, totaling 973 downloads!
